Jeremy Dodgen

Jeremy's love of photography has grown throughout his life. When his nephew (Connor Jeremy) was born thirteen years ago his passion for photographing children launched from pastime to profession. By word of mouth referrals from those who saw his photos of Connor, he grew a large and faithful clientele who invite him into their homes repeatedly to capture the unique, "real life" expressions of their children and families. He loves their sense of play and is passionate about capturing their wonder-filled approach to life.

Jeremy is based in Long Beach, California. He photographs people where they live (primarily in Southern California and Portland, Oregon, but is available for travel anywhere).

Judy Dodgen

Judy is a Licensed Marriage Family Child Therapist with a history in Gerontology. She has always been supportive of Jeremy and encouraged him to quit his job back in 98 to pursue photography full time. In 2004 when they welcomed Ethan into their family Judy intended on returning to work on a Psychiatric Unit but as luck would have it her contract was discontinued and she was hired at Dodgen Photography full time.

Judy does the behind the scenes work, billing, editing, data entry, and scheduling. She and Jeremy are fortunate in that they are able to share a lot of the parenting and home responsibilities.

To keep her foot in the business of family Judy has recently partnered with Once Upon a Family, it gives me a way to help families work together as well as the flexibility to maintain my other responsibilities.

It has been a dream come true to work at home. We are both able to spend optimal time with our children and with each other. We have worked hard to maintain a balance in our partnership as a couple, parents, and business partners.
