Our portrait sessions take place at a location you choose - at your home, a favorite park, a team event, in your kitchen baking cookies - any place where your child is comfortable being herself. Since your child is already "at home" and relaxed when the session begins, Jeremy can devote his energies to discerning what approach will best capture natural, nuanced expressions and experiences.

The session begins...
If your child is shy or anxious at first, Jeremy will take a bit of time to diffuse the discomfort by finding some ways of getting to know him (visiting with he and his parents, playing with some favorite toys, or exploring the camera equipment). If your child is comfortable, Jeremy will begin photographing right away.

The session continues...
If there are any specific portrait requests (a family portrait, a close-up of your child, a portrait with a favorite toy) Jeremy will likely address those early on, following with a blend of informally posed and candid portraits. The remainder of the time will be spent creating portraits of your child (or your whole family) being herself - playing, exploring, posing - providing you with images that reflect the "real world" expressions and experiences of your child. At the end of the session, children typically feel energized and empowered. When they greet Jeremy the next year they are likely to run out to meet him at the curb, excited to spend time together again.

After the session...
Once the portraits have been prepared they are posted on a password-protected website from which you may order prints, holiday cards, memory books and more. This allows you to select and purchase your portraits whenever it is most convenient for you, without having to leave your home. You may share your password with family and friends, if you chose, allowing them to view and/or order portraits directly. If you want assistance choosing images, placing an order, or deciding how to best preserve the memories, we are just an e-mail or phone call away.

Your complete satisfaction is our primary goal. Your portraits are guaranteed and we commit to respecting your family's unique wonder by chronicling it for you. If you are not completely satisfied with any of our products or services we will reshoot, reprint, replace or refund until you are.

Why black and white...
Jeremy photographs exclusively in black and white. The freedom from the distractions of color allow the attention of the viewer to be focused on the people and emotions expressed in the images. Unique composition and use of natural light further allow Jeremy to create images that are both truthful and timeless.
